Logitech G announced the launch of a new headset that it promises will take personal expression and gameplay to new levels. And its new features – an enhanced microphone, higher fidelity for deeper immersion and significant comfort modifications – are what contribute to that elevated experience.

The new Logitech G522 has a similar look to its predecessor, the G733. But a brief stare reveals the newest device, that comes in black and white, boasts curves that are sleeker, a silhouette that’s more sophisticated, and design features that reflect a more current look than the sharp edges of the G733.

“G522 was made for gamers who bring passion and personality to everything they do,” said Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of Logitech G. “Whether you’re climbing the ranks, streaming for your audience, or pulling all-night gaming sessions, the G522 ups your game with top-tier performance, features and style.”

Ahmed Riaz, head of design at Logitech G, said close the brand’s close attention to detail makes the difference. “It builds on a proven formula for success that’s become synonymous with our G5 Series products, combining precision engineering with a deep understanding of what today’s gamers value most,” he added.

The company used feedback from the gaming community to design for long sessions and deliver what it describes as a giant leap forward for comfort. Ear cups are wider, and a new layer of memory foam wrapped in softer fabric provides cooling and cushioning.

The band incorporates ridges allowing more airflow, and it sits more evenly and flatter on the head thanks to its new reversible suspension design. Logitech also used players to test comfort for gamers who wear earrings or glasses.

New synchronized PRO-G drivers coupled with 48 kHz/24-bit digital signal processing lets gamers detect the subtlest of in-game cues, such as opponent footsteps and weapon reloads.

For lovers of online multiplayer games, Logitech says the G522 cuts through the chaos with a 48 kHz/16-bit microphone to guarantee gamers’ voices are heard. And to prevent lag the headset provides tri-mode connectivity to move seamlessly between LIGHTSPEED wireless, Bluetooth and USB-C while ensuring easy transitions between mobile, PC and console.
