Marc Anthony Green’s bold, lip-centric directorial choice ensures pre-gamers cannot, and will not, miss the message from actress Karrueche Tran and stylist Bloody Osiris in Courvoisier’s newest campaign: “Bring Your Own Courvoisier.”
The minute-long film titled “The Courvoisier Call,” featuring the duo is one facet of the cognac distiller’s multi-level BYOCV campaign that seeks to position the before-party as the main event.
“What I love about ‘BYOCV’ is how it captures those authentic pre-party moments we all cherish,” shared Tran, known for “The Bay and “Claws.” “It’s about making every get-together special and memorable.”
In addition to the film, the project includes custom, reusable bags for Courvoisier fans and events designed to elevate dinner to ‘dînatoire’.
The black leather tote features “Courvoisier” emblazoned in stark white and vibrant red letters. It’s available in select markets for Courvoisier buyers who purchase a bottle of the beverage from participating retailers.
Dînatoires also are reserved for key markets. They are designed to bring a French vibe to the spots where friends gather for appetizers and cocktails. You can check the campaign’s site to see if and when one might be near you. The goal, Courvoisier’s campaign release states, is to take gatherings from ordinary to memorable.
Filmmaker Green appears to have been striving for the same with the campaign’s centerpiece. The dynamic spot features a fast-moving four-way split, constantly changing camera angles, four wardrobe changes for fashion stylist Bloody Osiris and the unforgettable lip close-ups. Really, you can’t unsee it.
