Rado Fuses Summer Citrus with Swiss Precision

The Swatch Group - Rado - Anatom

Must See

Rado, one of the Swatch Group’s luxury brands, has splashed into summer with three citrus-inspired models for an updated Anatom timepiece.

With teal and orchid faces on the women’s Diastar Original, its True Star automatic encased in a halcyonic turquoise, and the jewel tones of the True Round Secret, it’s clear Rado has long been comfortable with color.

But the new Anatoms are different – almost reminiscent of the bright hues with which Swatch became almost synonymous during the 80s and 90s. Featured in grapefruit red, lime green and lemon yellow, Rado described the shades as “bold” and “contemporary” in its announcement of the seasonal summer colors.

The case on all three models is black, which amplifies the touch of fruity color on the pieces’ faces that match their bands. It’s just a “fresh” take on the watch that remains true to the brand’s precision, comfort and innovation, its statement reads.

According to the press release, each timepiece features: “Rado caliber R766 movement with a 72-hour power reserve; sandblasted stainless steel case middle with black PVD coating and; high-tech ceramic bezel and sculpted sapphire crystal that follows the nature curve of the wrist.”

They are all water-resistant up to 50 meters, the company says, and the bright-colored bands, which are touted as odorless and flexible, are also resistant to UV radiation.

They’re available at Rado.com for $3,550.
